Lana Lovrenčić Butković

Lana Lovrenčić Butković is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Zagreb. In 2003, she graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Zagreb. She completed her postgraduate scientific MBA programme in Business Management at the same institution in 2009 and earned her PhD there in 2015. She began her academic career in 2008 at the Department of Construction Management and Economics, Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Zagreb, where she currently teaches several undergraduate, graduate, specialist, and doctoral courses in the fields of management, strategic management, and investment management. She is also Co-lead of the interdisciplinary postgraduate specialist programme MBA in Construction.
In addition to her academic work, through research activities and the dissemination of research results, she actively participates in scientific projects in the fields of construction management, sustainability, and the circular economy. She is also engaged in professional consulting, including the preparation of feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses (CBA), strategic management consulting for construction companies, and the development and implementation of ESG strategies.
She is a member of the IPMA SIG ESG Team and a co-author of the IPMA Guide to Sustainable Project Management. She also serves as a member of the Academic Council of the Croatian Association for Corporate Governance and Management, as well as several other professional and academic associations, through which she actively promotes collaboration between the disciplines of economics and civil engineering.
