Martina Huemann is Professor at the WU Vienna University of Economics and Business where she heads the Project Management Group in the Department Strategy and Innovation and is the Academic Director of the Professional MBA Program: Project Management. She has published widely in Project Management. For her Research on Human Resource Management in Project-oriented Organizations, she received the IPMA Research Award 2015. Since 2018, she has been Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Project Management, the leading journal in project management, and since 2020 she has been Founding Editor-in-Chief of the journal Project Leadership and Society. Martina Huemann has 20 years of experience in research, teaching and consulting. In research as well as in consulting and teaching she believes in a co-creation process with practitioners and other stakeholders. Martina Huemann has strong links in the research and practice communities, and a broad international network. She served on the Research Management Board of the International Project Management Association and the Academic Member Advisory Group at Project Management Institute. As an academic advisor of NETLIPSE, she contributes her knowledge to an international network on managing large infrastructure projects in Europe.
