Date: Wednesday, Sep 4, 2019
Time: 09:00 – 13:00h

Based on the presenter’s 25+ years of practical experience as journal editor, workshop participants will learn how to become an effective writer of quality papers and how to successfully navigate the process of communicating with journal editors and reviewers. Essential components of a successful paper will be presented and discussed in detail. Errors typical of inexperienced authors will be elaborated along with sound advice on how to avoid them. Specifically, the workshop will answer the following questions:

How to compose a successful title, abstract, discussion and convincing conclusions for a successful paper? How to present research results effectively?
How to avoid bad translators and bad translations into scholarly English? How to properly construct a literature review and a list of references?

Participants of the workshop are encouraged to bring their paper manuscripts still in preparation for an interactive, onsite consultation with the presenter.
